About Holland, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Holland is a city in western Michigan. It is 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids, Michigan and 5 miles east of Lake Michigan. Holland is positioned in Ottawa and Allegan counties. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were approximately 33,543 people living in Holland in 2016.

The history of Holland can be traced to the mid-1800s when a group of 60 men, women, and children led by Albertus C. VanRaalte made a trip from Rotterdam to New York. Due to harsh weather conditions, the group was forced to lay over in Detroit. VanRaalte discovered land for sale in western Michigan during the layover. The land was purchased and the group arrived on their new land in 1847. A community was quickly established and other immigrants eventually settled in the area. The community faced many hardships during its early years but it was able to withstand them and develop as the City of Holland.

Modern-day Holland is a beautiful and charming city. Residents enjoy excellent community facilities and amenities and access to recreational opportunities. Located in and near Holland are the Windmill Island Gardens, De Zwaan, and Lake Macatawa. Residents and tourists who visit the aforementioned attractions are able to enjoy beaches, windmill tours, Dutch-themed parks and more.

Holland is located in a region of the United States that experiences warm summer seasons and very cool winter seasons. Professional HVAC technicians recommend residents have cooling and heating systems installed in their homes. During the summer months, daytime temperatures will climb to the upper-80s when heat waves pass through the city. During the winter seasons, freezing temperatures and snowfall are common. Cooling and heating systems protect residents and their homes from potential damages caused by harsh weather conditions. Depending on the season, an efficient system may literally be a lifesaver.
